Adam Bergman

Adam Bergman is Managing Director at EcoTech Capital. Adam is a sustainability executive leader with almost two decades investment banking experience in the CleanTech sector. He provides strategic insight and financial direction to senior executives and boards on growth strategies, tactical initiatives and strategic alternatives. As one of the first investment bankers to focus exclusively on CleanTech, Adam is recognized as a leading subject matter expert and is a frequent speaker at industry events and publisher of articles on sustainability.


Adam has built or expanded CleanTech Investment Banking practices at Jefferies, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo and Citi. He has extensive transaction experience working on financings and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) globally, including deals in the AgTech & FoodTech, Biomaterials, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage, Industrial IoT (IIOT), Mobility & Transportation, Renewable Energy, Smart Grid and Water Technology sectors. 

 
 

During his time at Citi and Wells Fargo, Adam built an industry leading practice by connecting Food & Ag executives with FoodTech & AgTech executives and investors as means to create an ecosystem to help drive adoption of technology and innovation throughout the broad Food & Ag value chain. Additionally, Adam established the AgTech cohort for Wells Fargo’s innovation incubator (IN2), which was launched at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, MO, in 2018.

 
 

Over the past 20+ years, Adam has worked for leading global investment banks, including Citi, Deutsche Bank, Jefferies, JPMorgan, Rothschild, UBS and Wells Fargo, and has covered the CleanTech, Technology, Industrial and Healthcare sectors. 

 
 

Adam has a B.A. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Additionally, he holds an M.A. in International Development from the International University of Japan.

Jeffrey Lipton is a Senior Advisor at EcoTech Capital with nearly three decades of investment banking experience having worked extensively both within the CleanTech and broader Industrial sectors throughout his career. He has provided capital raising, capital structuring and M&A advice to senior executives and boards in the context of overall growth strategies, tactical initiatives, business planning and strategic alternatives. Jeff began working with and advising CleanTech companies in the early 2000's when he started the practice at Jefferies, developing significant subject matter expertise across the overall landscape and market participants.


While focused on Cleantech, Jeff has executed multiple financing and advisory assignments for clients in the Biomaterials, Renewable Chemicals, Biofuels, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage, Mobility & Transportation, Renewable Energy, Smart Grid and Water Technology sub-sectors. He is also actively engaged in early- and seed-stage investing within the Cleantech sector and has served as a start-up mentor through the Clean Tech Open national business accelerator program.


During his career, Jeff has worked for several leading global investment banks, including Jefferies, Morgan Stanley, MUFG Bank, Schroders and Canaccord Genuity where he has covered the CleanTech, Chemicals and Industrial sectors.  Jeff most recently worked at MUFG where he led the Corporate Advisory Group in North America.


Jeff has a B.S. in Economics from Wharton School and B.A. in Environmental Studies from University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University Business School and J.D. from Columbia University Law School.

Cy Obert

Cy Obert

Cy Obert is a Vice President at EcoTech Capital, where he advises early- and growth-stage companies on capital raising, M&A transactions, and strategic partnerships. His work focuses on supporting innovative businesses in the food and agriculture technology sectors, providing tailored guidance across joint ventures, corporate development, and investor engagement.


Before joining EcoTech, Cy was an investment banking Senior Associate at Citi on the Clean Energy Transition team. In this role, he specialized in advising companies advancing sustainable solutions, with experience in both M&A and capital markets.


Cy began his career at Credit Suisse, starting as an Analyst in the Energy group, advising oil & gas companies on mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions. He later joined the Credit Suisse Biopharma group as an Associate and worked on a range of strategic advisory and capital raising mandates for life sciences clients.


Cy holds a BBA in Corporate Finance with a minor in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
